We are excited to share some great news and upcoming events with our school community!

Gaga Ball Pit Flooring Upgrade

Thanks to the support of the School Council, funds have been approved to upgrade the playing surface of the Gaga ball pit to astro turf. This new surface will provide a smoother (and cleaner) area for our students to enjoy, enhancing their play experience and making maintenance easier.

A Special Thank You to Adam from Neighbourhood Handy Services:

We would like to extend a big thank you to TPS parent Adam for his hard work in helping build our new Gaga Ball Pit. Adam, who runs Neighbourhood Handy Services, generously donated his time and skills to create this great new space for our students to enjoy.

If you’re ever looking for a reliable and skilled handyman, Adam is a fantastic local option. You can reach Adam at: adam@neighbourhoodhandyservices.com.au

Thanks again Adam, for your support and for helping make our school a better place.

Sensory Sound Garden Following a very successful trial of outdoor musical instruments, School Council has approved funding to purchase four instruments to be installed in the garden space beside the stage. We can’t wait to see and hear students exploring this interactive sensory space.

Benefits

Holistic Development

An outdoor musical playground promotes holistic development by engaging students in a multi-sensory experience. The combination of physical activity and musical exploration supports cognitive, emotional, and social growth.

Health & Wellbeing

Outdoor play is essential for physical health, and the addition of musical instruments provides an extra layer of enjoyment. Physical activity combined with musical expression contributes to overall well-being, supporting students in developing healthy habits and reducing stress.

Inclusive Play

The outdoor musical playground is designed to be inclusive, accommodating various abilities and learning styles. This fosters a sense of belonging, promoting social interaction and cooperation as they engage together.

Educational Enrichment

The playground serves as an educational tool, integrating music into playtime to enhance learning. Students can develop a deeper understanding of rhythm, melody, and coordination while enjoying a fun and interactive environment, aligning with educational goals in a playful manner.

Community Engagement

The outdoor musical playground creates a focal point for community engagement, encouraging participation from parents, teachers, and the broader community. Collaborative musical activities can strengthen ties within the school community, fostering a sense of unity and shared enjoyment of the outdoor space.
