Celebrating Learning

As an alternative to Gala Day, one of the Year 5/6 sporting groups chose to collaborate on creating an imaginative obstacle course for the younger students, inspired by the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. 

The course led the Grade 2 students through enchanted forests, across lily-pad lakes, over mountains, and along treacherous paths - all thoughtfully designed and set up by the older students. At each station, a 5/6 “guide” read aloud a letter introducing the next part of the journey, helping to bring the magical narrative to life. 

The project showcased the Year 5/6 students’ creativity, leadership, and care, resulting in a joyful and memorable experience for both the older and younger students alike.
