Celebrating Piper Day – Winner of the 2025 NGV Top Arts Creativity Award

Melbourne Girls’ College is delighted to congratulate 2024 Year 12 graduate Piper Day, who has been awarded the Creativity Award in this year’s prestigious NGV Top Arts 2025 exhibition.

Presented by Officeworks, the award recognises the most creative and innovative use of materials. Piper’s remarkable work, Gwai Mui (2024), crafted through intricate paper cutting layered on inkjet prints, captivated the judges with its originality and impact.

This year, over 1400 students applied to be part of Top Arts, with only 40 students selected to exhibit. From this outstanding group, Piper was chosen as the winner of the Creativity Award, receiving a $1500 Officeworks gift card and recognition across the state.

This is an extraordinary accomplishment and a reflection of Piper’s creativity, dedication, and artistic vision.
