ACMI Game Creators Lab

Great opportunity for budding game designers

ACMI have reached out to let us know of an opportunity for any budding game designers in the school to apply for the opportunity to participate in their creator lab program. A great opportunity for some real world feedback and testing.

Deadline is 5pm August 31 and go to the below link/see below for further information:

Are you a young game developer? Do you have a project in development that could benefit from some testing and audience feedback? Looking to expand your skills beyond input from teacher, parents, friends or the internet?

The ACMI + RMIT Young Creators’ Lab invites digital developers aged 10–16 years to show their projects/products at ACMI and gather expert industry and audience feedback. This is a chance to ask, “What do I want to learn about my work?” and we are keen to help you find out!

Expressions of interest (applications) are now open for the first ACMI+RMIT Young Creators’ Lab to be held on 15 & 16 November 2024. Apply here

What: This is an experiment in showing unfinished works, prototypes, works in progress, and cool new ideas in the area of videogames.

When: 15 & 16 November (Friday and Saturday); Expressions of interest (applications) close 31 August 2024

Who: Open to all young creatives aged 10 - 16 years old in Victoria

Our selection process: This is not a competition! This is about supporting you to take the next steps in your creative developer journey with experts from RMIT School of Education and ACMI. We encourage group works. Works selected need to be able to benefit from audience interaction, feedback and potential development mentoring.
