Planning for 2025 and beyond

Year 11 Career Workshops

Last Monday all Year 11 students attended a careers workshop which focused on defining their personal brand and understanding how this relates to their future career pathways. 

Tyson from Arrive & Thrive explained how personal brand can assist in determining career steps. 

In Connect students have been asked to reflect on their own purpose and vision for the future. They compiled a list of achievements and passions, and reflected on how these reflect their personal and authentic brand. Thanks to all the students who actively participated in their session. 

Year 12 transition planning is underway

With Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) now open for 2025 applications, Year 12 students are now working through planning for 2025 and beyond. Students have watched a video outlining options and processes.

University Open Days

I encourage all students in Years 10-12 to make some time to visit university campuses and research courses and opportunities for their future. A detailed list with links to register has been posted in Teams for years 10, 11 and 12. This table covers most Victorian universities: 

What to do at an open day:

Get there early if you can.

Pre-Prepare a list of ‘to-do’ while you are there. Think about:

• Courses on offer
• Course Structure 
• Course Delivery Mode
• Course Costs (HECs or charges)
• Overseas study options
• Class Sizes
• Campus Size/Style
• Supports / Clubs / Facilities / Services
• Accommodation if applicable
