Year 8 News
Vermont Secondary College
Our Year 8 badminton squads served up an absolute masterclass at the recent interschool competition, walking away with an incredible haul of victories and showcasing phenomenal sportsmanship.
It was a near-clean sweep for our teams across the board:
Boys A (Champions & Regional Bound!): In a stunning display of skill and teamwork, the Boys A team dominated their division to claim the overall championship title. With this win, they have officially qualified for the Regional finals.
Boys B & Girls B (Champions): Both of our B squads put on clinical performances, outplaying the competition to win their respective tournaments. Their depth and determination were fantastic to watch.
Girls A (Runners-Up): Our Girls A team fought hard all day, making it all the way to the grand final. In a tense, high-stakes deciding match, they finished as incredibly proud runners-up after a narrow loss to Glen Waverley.

Congratulations to all the players for representing our school so brilliantly, and a massive good luck to the Boys A team as they prepare to take on the region's best!
