Chaplaincy Book Fair – October

Hold onto your gold coins everyone – the October Chaplaincy Book Fair is upon us and books cost only $1!
From noon on Friday the 24th to noon on Saturday the 25th, thousands of books of all sorts will have the community flocking to Maroske Hall on Dimboola Road where they’ll undertake some serious bargain hunting in this cash only sale of pre-loved books.
Donated by the community, the books are categorised by faithful volunteers, set-up in the hall by energetic students, sold to the public by the Chaplaincy Committee and packed away with the help of the Rotary East service club.
Wastebusters chip in to recycle anything tatty and everyone goes home happy with a good read.
Monies raised are used to finance the Chaplaincy Program at Horsham College, providing services of chaplain, Yolande Grosser, who comes alongside students during the difficulties of teenage life. A Brekky Hub twice a week, regular Faith Fans and Creative Crochet lunchtime activities plus provision of school supplies and one-on-one conversations are made possible through the generous funding contributions from local churches, groups and individuals.
Bring your cash and your carry bags!
