Welcome back to Term Four. We are excited to have the sun back out and to continue supporting students to achieve their best possible outcomes.
Planning for 2026 is well underway, with conversations occurring daily between staff, students and parents/carers about program options and other pathways for next year. If you would like to discuss this further, please reach out to your child’s teacher to arrange a meeting.
McKenzie Creek students finished last term with another circus day, run by external providers Connected Circus. Students had a great day, particularly enjoying the opportunity in the afternoon to show off their new skills to our staffing body. Well done to all students for giving it a go.
There is some ongoing disruption this term with building works on-site. If visiting school for a meeting, please park on High St Nth to access the front doors. The car park is no longer in use for parents/carers.
As always, please reach out if there’s any support we can offer.
McKenzie Creek
The Circus had made a return visit to McKenzie Creek on the last day of term 3, Vern from ‘Connected Circus’ had travelled from Bendigo to see how the Creekers have been able to develop their circus skills since his initial visit in February.
Students were able to perform their skills to Horsham College staff at the end of the day during their PE lesson. Some students even had a go at teaching their newly learnt skills from twirling, spinning and juggling objects from discs, devil sticks and to batons.
It was wonderful to see students challenge themselves to learn a new skill and develop their confidence with performing in front of others. Thank you to Dan for organising this experience for our McKenzie Creek students.
I am also pleased to announce that none of our students decided to ‘run away’ with the circus although some students came close!
