Work Experience

During Semester 2, our Year 10 students once again stepped out of the classroom and into the workplace, completing a week of valuable work experience. Students took responsibility for planning and organising their placements across a wide range of industries as part of their exploration of potential career pathways.
Through their Careers classes, students identified areas of interest, discussed their options, and worked together with their families and school to arrange work experiences with their selected employer. We are very fortunate to have the ongoing support of our generous local employers who welcome our students each year and provide them with meaningful and practical insights into the world of work.
We sincerely thank all employers for the time, effort, and encouragement they give to our students. Many have come away from the experience feeling inspired, more confident about their futures, and in some cases, have even been offered ongoing employment opportunities.
All Year 10 students are expected to complete a week of work experience during the year. If you would like to discuss opportunities or become involved as an employer, please contact Genni Smith, Work Experience Coordinator, at Horsham College.
Work experience is also available for senior students wishing to gain further knowledge or experience in a particular career path. Please contact Genni for more information to explore your options.
