At Wangaratta High School, we’ve always believed that learning goes beyond the classroom. What truly fills us with pride is the lasting impact our school has had on those who have walked through our doors. From former students returning to teach, to the children and grandchildren of alumni becoming part of our vibrant school community, Wangaratta High School has always fostered connections that stand the test of time.

We’re now excited to take this sense of community a step further with the official launch of the Wangaratta High School Alumni Program, a new initiative designed to strengthen the bond between past and present students and teachers, creating opportunities for continued connection and collaboration across generations. 

What Is the Alumni Program?

The Wangaratta High School Alumni Program, which officially launched in 2025, is all about celebrating and connecting our past students and teachers. We invite past students back to school to talk to small groups of students about their pathway after Year 12 and to give students some practical tips about study and work.

With a rich network spanning various industries and professions, the program aims to support our current students by leveraging the experiences, knowledge, and success stories of those who have come before them. Whether it’s through social media, school events, newsletters, or other channels, we’re creating a space for alumni to stay involved, share their achievements, and give back to the community.

Meet Megan De Fazio – Alumni Program Coordinator

We’re thrilled to introduce Megan De Fazio, our new Alumni Program Coordinator.  With her passion for connection and strong ties to the Wangaratta High School community, Megan is excited to build our alumni network. She’ll be your main point of contact for everything alumni-related and is eager to help you get involved and stay engaged.

Join Us and Stay Connected

If you attended Wangaratta High School, Wangaratta Technical School/College or Ovens College for your secondary education, we invite you to become part of our Alumni Program! We’re keen to find former students studying or working in a wide variety of areas – in trades, business, the arts, health or wherever you may be. Some alumni might even be able to offer a work experience placement to a current student.

By joining the program, you can stay updated on school events, reconnect with old friends and teachers, and even help inspire the next generation of Wangaratta High School students.
