NAPLAN Testing 2025 - Information for Parents and Carers

Dear Parents/Carers.

NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy assessment that students in Years 7 and 9 sit each year at Wangaratta High School (WHS). WHS will be completing NAPLAN testing from Wednesday 12th March 2025.

As students progress through their school years, it’s important to check how well they are learning the essential skills of reading, conventions of language, writing and numeracy.

NAPLAN assesses the literacy and numeracy skills that students are learning through the school curriculum and allows parents/carers to see how their student is progressing against national standards and over time.

Your student will do the NAPLAN tests online. Online NAPLAN tests provide more precise results and are more engaging for students. Students are required to use their own devices (laptops).

Please encourage your students to do the best they can as they progress through NAPLAN testing.  More information will become available as the date nears.
