All Things Clay!

Wow! What a term it has been with so many amazing artworks being finalised this week - expect to see some amazing works coming home!

Foundation through to Year Three students have been involved in modelling activities, discovering all things clay. Did you know our main school building is made of clay as well!! We have been discovering all the things clay has been used for throughout time. We have also been reinforcing what we know about the primary colours - mixing these to create new, wonderful colours. We are now in the process of using these colours to enhance our clay sculptures - pinch pot monsters, plant pots, door hangers and even some animals!

The students in Year Four are also in the  process of finishing their amazing clay sculptures. Most students have created dragons in the style of either typical Western dragons or the more peaceful Eastern Dragons.

They have been inquiring into the myths and legends of both creatures throughout history and their relevance in the cultures of today. It has been five weeks of creativeness and we think they are awesome!!!
