Foundation - Year 6 Cross Country – Tuesday, 31st March (Week 10)

All students from Foundation to Year 6 will take part in our school-wide Cross Country event. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to challenge themselves, build endurance, and enjoy a fun and active day outdoors starting on our school oval. Make sure to bring plenty of water and wear your sports uniform! Cross Country and Athletics Day are closely linked as both events focus on developing students’ endurance, resilience, and participation in whole-school sporting events. Cross Country helps students build their long-distance running fitness, pacing strategies, and mental perseverance, which are valuable skills that support their performance in Athletics Day distance events. Both events also promote house spirit, teamwork, and sportsmanship, encouraging students to challenge themselves while contributing to their house team. Participating in Cross Country helps students feel more confident and prepared when taking part in Athletics Day activities.
House Colours!!!!For school events, we encourage all students to proudly wear their house colours and be as bright and vibrant as possible! Wearing house colours helps build pride, unity, and a strong sense of belonging within each house team. It is a great way for students to feel connected, show their school spirit, and contribute to a positive team culture. If students are unsure of their house colour, they can check Compass or speak with their classroom teacher. By getting involved and dressing in their house colours, students help create an exciting and supportive atmosphere at our school events. We encourage all students to get involved, give their best effort, and most importantly, have fun! If you have any questions, please contact the school office or have your student talk to Mr. Perkins.
