Principal's Report 

It has been a fantastic start to 2026 at CPS! Our positive momentum has continued throughout the first few weeks, and it has been wonderful to see students across all year levels so settled, confident and engaged in their learning.

This week, we held our Meet the Teacher/Specialist afternoons. Although the sessions were brief, they provided a valuable opportunity to connect, put names to faces and begin strengthening the important partnership between home and school. Thank you to the many families who were able to attend.

If you were unable to join us and would like to connect with your child’s teacher, please feel free to discuss with your child’s classroom teacher a suitable time and make an appointment via Compass.

For the past 20 years, CPS has been operating with three flagpoles. However, they were spread over the front (two poles) of the school and by the basketball court. We procured three new flagpoles, which were installed last week. The three flagpoles were installed beside the basketball court and are also visible from the outside of the school (which is a requirement by the Dept). This is the first time we will be able to fly the three flags (Australian, Aboriginal Flag and Torres Strait) side by side as required. The new flags have been ordered from Hume Council. By having the new flagpoles inside of the school, we are hoping that this will offer some level of protection from people destroying the flags.

Now that the 2026 school year has commenced, we would like to formally introduce our School Leaders and House Captains for 2026. 

We look forward to working together with these students to make sure our school can be the best it can be!
