The year to date has been incredibly positive for our Year 7 students.

Transitioning to high school is a big step, and our year 7 students has embraced the change with enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to learn. From navigating a new environments, to building friendships to establishing new routines, they have approached each challenge with maturity and a great attitude.

It has been wonderful to see students getting involved in their classes, co-curricular activities, and the broader school community. Their curiosity, kindness, and growing independence have stood out, and they are already making a strong impression on their teachers.

The camp has been a highlight with new friendships formed and students supporting each other in a way we have not seen before.

Ms Simkin, Ms Jenkins, and Ms Goss are extremely proud of the way our Year 7 students have settled in. We look forward to watching them continue to grow in confidence and capability throughout the year, and we thank families for their ongoing support in helping make this transition such a success.

Our Year 8 students have made a fantastic start to the year, stepping confidently into their learning and setting a positive example for our Year 7 cohort. They have shown maturity, leadership, and a strong sense of responsibility, helping to set the tone for what it means to be a valued member of our school community. It has also been great to see their thoughtful engagement in the Elephant Ed program, where they have approached important topics with openness and respect. Looking ahead, we are eagerly anticipating their involvement in the Big Sister and Man Cave experiences, which will provide further opportunities to build connection, confidence, and personal growth. And for some fun, Mr Pell and Ms Goss are ready to hit the ice-skating rink with all Year 8 students on the Big Day Out on Friday June 19!

Our Year 9 students have embraced their position as leaders of the Middle School with confidence and maturity, setting a strong example for younger students. Many have actively participated in the Bushwhacked camps, challenging themselves in a new environment and strengthening connections with their peers. It has also been fantastic to see such positive engagement in the range of new and exciting elective subjects, with students exploring their interests and stepping outside their comfort zones. As the year progresses, they are looking forward to contributing to meaningful community projects through the Homegroup program, further developing their sense of responsibility, teamwork, and connection to the wider community.

The middle school team would like to commend our students for their outstanding participation in the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals. It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, demonstrating enthusiasm, teamwork, and house spirit throughout both events. Whether competing, cheering on peers, or simply giving something new a go, students showed great sportsmanship and a positive attitude. These days are always a highlight of the school calendar, and it was wonderful to see our Middle School students engaged.
