The HSBN Brunswick Senior Boys Basketball team competed in the Victorian Secondary School Challenge on Friday, May 8th this term.
The team trains two mornings a week before school with two HSBN coaches and then have opportunities to compete throughout the year in various tournaments and games against other HSBN clubs [based at other schools] in the area. There are junior and senior teams for both males and females that proudly represent the club throughout the year. We even had four players go to the USA to play over the summer holidays representing Players First!
Training at BSC is held Monday and Wednesday (girls teams) and Tuesday and Thursday (boys teams) from 7.00am every week of the school term. If you are interested in checking out the program, please come in to the gym on those days to see what training looks like. And you can follow the teams on HSBN (@highschoolbasketballnetwork).
HSBN brings great opportunities to many players, whether it is getting to the 'next level' and potential overseas opportunities, or just making friends and being a part of the community.
The High School Basketball Network (HSBN) is a dynamic basketball development and exposure program operating across Melbourne, with the Brunswick program using the BSC Gym as its base, and popular with many BSC students.
Designed for student-athletes who are serious about elevating their game, HSBN provides elite coaching, competitive opportunities and a supportive environment that helps students grow in skill, confidence and character. The program supports athletes both on and off the court while creating pathways toward future basketball opportunities, including college recruitment.
