Legally Blonde is shaping up to be a fantastic show! Rehearsals are moving along at breakneck pace, but our talented company of students are absolutely rising to the challenge. Musically, Legally Blonde is a challenging song to sing and play, and the way the show moves along is very different to some of our more recent productions, which is making our cast and crew work in different, exciting ways. We are so excited to share this work with you next term!
Dance Captains, Eliza Dodd, Evie Kee, Alex Steindl and Greta Drimmel, are working hard on choreography for the show and are steadily teaching it to the company at our weekly dance rehearsals. Legally Blonde movement is stylish, quirky, fast paced and character driven, which requires our performers to be fit, technical and expressive.
The Legally Blonde Band are sounding fantastic as they bring the show’s energetic score to life. With lots of upbeat, fast paced music throughout the production, students have been working hard each week and it has been wonderful to see their confidence and ensemble skills continue to grow in rehearsals.
The Backstage Team are well into the set construction process; the stage will look amazing! A huge thank you to the parents who came along on Sunday May 17 to the Set Construction Working Bee, your skills are so valuable.
The Costumes Team has been doing amazing work, organising, sourcing and creating. A big shout out to Chloe Orbons, whose organisational skills have meant the cast are super well prepared for costumes this year – thank you Chloe!
