Year 7 and 10

Year 7

The first term of high school is complete. Congratulations on an excellent start to your education at Epping Boys High School. Term 1 highlights include:  the Year 7 Camp, understanding the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Engagement, summer sport, music and classroom learning.

I am very satisfied with the progress of the boys. Thank you to the parents and carers who help organise the boys with school uniforms, packing of the school bag, timetabling and permission notes for school activities. Engagement in school activities outside the classroom is a key component of the broad education available at Epping Boys.

In the break I encourage all boys to stay active, get outdoors and enjoy nature. Enjoy the company of family and friends. There is nothing that smart about a smart phone. Minimise use and discover life!

Year 10

The boys have made a positive transition into Senior School. They have completed assessment tasks and will receive their marks and teacher feedback early in Term 2. Year 10 is the start of a more formal and rigorous approach to classroom work, study and assessment tasks. The boys are more accountable under our governing body NESA. They are expected to complete all work and assessment tasks. When they do not meet the standards a formal N Warning is issued, and work must be re-done or completed to a satisfactory standard.

As always during breaks from school, I encourage the boys to get off the technology and enjoy the nature of Sydney. Bush walks, tennis, bikes, football and the beach. Get keen – get around it!
