Foundation

What a big Term 1 it has been for our Foundation students! We have settled into big school really well, learnt lots of new things, made lots of new friends and had lots of amazing new experiences.

Harmony Day

All of the Foundation students were incredibly brave and resilient during our first multi-age day. They did an excellent job of mixing with students from all year levels and interacting with many different teachers. We all enjoyed taking part in the activities and learning about all the different cultural backgrounds of our families here at HEPS.

Literacy

We have have been revising all the sounds we have learned so far and learning about KERU letters and sounds.  We have been practising our letter formation and sounding out and spelling CVC words using known sounds. We have continued our inquiry focus on families and belonging, through our class books and sharing our own experiences during reading sessions. 

Numeracy

We have been learning all about data, conducting yes/no surveys and tally marks over the last two weeks. The students really enjoyed asking each other questions and collecting the data of things we have in our environment.

Monday 30th March - AIM high assembly

Wednesday April 1st - Bayswater Train Park excursion

Thursday April 2nd - MAD Day and last day of Term 1. School finishes at 2:30pm this day.
