Level 3

Literacy
In Writing, students have been exploring persuasive texts, with the fun focus of convincing their teachers to give them extra play time. They have been experimenting with strong word choices, emotional language and rhetorical questions to make their arguments more powerful and engaging. We have also been building our planning skills, focusing on developing clear reasons and supporting them with examples to make their writing more convincing.
In Reading, there has been a strong focus on researching and publishing our Inquiry projects on celebrations around the world. Students have been working hard to gather information, organise their ideas and present their learning in meaningful and engaging ways.
Numeracy
In Maths, we have been learning all about time. Students have explored the features of both analogue and digital clocks, participated in Time Bingo, and solved worded problems. We have also been using hands on games and real world situations to deepen our understanding and make connections to everyday life.
Wellbeing
We had a fantastic time celebrating Harmony Day, engaging in a range of fun and meaningful activities across the day. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate diversity, inclusion and belonging within our classroom community. We made connections to a text about two boys who live in different countries.
