Y3: Melbourne Zoo Excursion

On Thursday 12th of February and Friday 13th of February, the Year 3 students went on an excursion to the Melbourne Zoo. 

The students enjoyed exploring the zoo with their teachers and classmates and they also participated in an education program called, ‘Features, Lifecycles and the Environment’. On the day, the students learned about animal features and life cycles, and how living things rely on their environment and each other to survive. 

Through observing animals, interacting with biofacts and exploring predator-prey relationships, students applied scientific skills to understand how behaviour, structure and seasonal change influence survival. The Year 3 students had lots of fun and enjoyed this great experience.
