Y12: Exploring Future Pathways - RMIT Incursion

On Tuesday 24th March, we were delighted to host representatives from RMIT University for a valuable careers incursion with our Year 12 students.
The session provided students with a comprehensive overview of the wide range of pathways available through RMIT, including both TAFE (vocational education) and university courses. Students gained insight into key study areas such as business, engineering, health sciences, creative industries, and technology, as well as the flexibility of pathway options between TAFE and higher education.
Students were particularly interested to learn that RMIT operates across three main campuses - City (Melbourne CBD), Bundoora, and Brunswick - each offering different learning environments and specialist facilities. This helped students better visualise their future study experience and understand the variety of settings available.
The presenters also discussed entry requirements, alternative pathways, and support services, reinforcing that there are multiple pathways to success beyond secondary school.
Our Year 12 students engaged actively, asking thoughtful questions about course selection, career outcomes, and transitioning into further study. This incursion was an important opportunity to support students as they refine their post-school plans.
We thank RMIT for their time and for inspiring our students to explore the diverse opportunities available to them.
