Hay Fever Advice

As we are getting to the end of Winter and Spring approaches, it is time to remind you that if your child suffers from hay fever, please get an updated hay fever management plan from your doctor or pharmacist.

We advise parents to follow the Melbourne Pollen Count app and particularly on high pollen days, administer an antihistamine in the morning before school if that is part of your hay fever management plan:

We will not be administering antihistamines at school to children who present with hay fever symptoms at school during the day. 

We will give wet cloths for eyes and treat symptomatically, but if your child is not coping, you will be rung and asked to collect them.
