Year 8-11 Parent-Teacher Interviews

Term Three Parent-Teacher Interviews for students in Years 8-11 will be held on Tuesday 15 September, from 12:30pm to 6:30pm.

Families have now been invited to book interviews, with booking information sent to each family’s nominated email address. We encourage families to book promptly, with bookings closing on Sunday 13 September.

These interviews provide an important opportunity for students, families and teachers to discuss learning, progress and next steps. Students are strongly encouraged to attend and actively participate in these conversations alongside their families.

Year 12 Legendary Learners

On Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 September, leading into the Year 12 examination break, The Laurence Library will remain open after school until 6:30pm as part of our Legendary Learners programme.

During this time, ATAR teachers will be available to run revision seminars and provide support for upcoming examinations. For students completing an APEx pathway, the Library will also provide an ideal environment to make progress on final assessments and outstanding coursework.

We strongly encourage all Year 12 students to take advantage of this opportunity to shift into study mode, access their teachers and make the most of these final weeks.

Year 12 Mock Exams and World of Work Week

Semester Two Mock Examinations for Year 12 ATAR students will commence on Thursday 17 September.

To support students in their final preparation, Wednesday 16 September will be a universal Year 12 Study Day, giving all Year 12 students dedicated time to prepare for examinations, complete outstanding work and organise themselves for the weeks ahead.

For students completing an APEx pathway, information regarding our World of Work Week and activities available during the examination period has been sent directly to students via SEQTA Direqt Message.

We strongly encourage Year 12 students who are not sitting examinations to take advantage of the excellent workshops and opportunities available through World of Work Week. These sessions have been designed to make productive use of the examination period and support students as they prepare for their next steps beyond school.

OLNA Testing

OLNA testing for eligible students in Years 10 to 12 will take place across the next two weeks.

Students involved have been sent further information, including their testing arrangements, via SEQTA Direqt Message. Students are encouraged to check their messages carefully and ensure they are aware of when and where they are required to attend.

Celebrating Science Week and Book Week

A huge thank you to our Science and English Departments for delivering outstanding Science Week and Book Week celebrations. Across both weeks, lunchtime activities, after-school events and PCG competitions brought these subject areas to life across the School. It was fantastic to see students from all year groups getting involved, competing enthusiastically and giving their all.

Thank you to the staff who put so much energy and creativity into making both weeks such engaging experiences for our students.
