Celebrating our Inclusive Education team

This week we celebrated EA Appreciation Week, acknowledging the incredible contribution of our Inclusive Education Centre Education Assistants: Mrs Harris, Miss O'Byrne, Miss O'Neale, Mrs Moroney and Mrs Callus.

The Inclusive Education Centre is founded on the belief that we are "a caring and dedicated team, supporting students with additional learning needs to realise their potential, through access to supportive, challenging and meaningful learning experiences both in and out of the classroom." Our Education Assistants embody this philosophy each and every day.

Working alongside students and teachers, they provide individual and small group support, assist with inclusive assessment practices, and help students develop important organisational and note-taking skills. They also play a vital role in enabling students to participate fully in excursions, incursions and the many events that enrich school life.

Their patience, expertise and commitment help create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported to learn, grow and succeed.

We sincerely thank our Education Assistants for the difference they make every day. Your dedication, care and advocacy are deeply valued by our school community.

Seeds of Science Competition

Congratulations to Matilda, Andy, Brax and Frankie for their outstanding entries in our Seeds of Science Competition.

Matilda created a fascinating time-lapse video showing mung beans growing over time, while Andy documented the growth of Lion's Mane and Pink Oyster fungi also through a time-lapse recordings. Brax brought in a log with plants growing from it while Frankie successfully grew broccoli and produced an informative poster showing its growth and development over time.

All four students demonstrated enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine interest in science through their projects. Their efforts were recognised with prizes generously donated by companies from Perth and the surrounding area, including Perth Mint, The Margaret River Chocolate Company and Camera Electronic. Well done to all our prize winners!
