Year 4 News

From Lina McAliden, Year 4 teacher
Adventure Awaits!
Grade 4 students have been working hard in Writing, completing their amazing Choose Your Own Adventure stories, inspired by the You Choose series by George Ivanoff. From oceans and caves to jungles and even dentist offices, students have shown incredible creativity in developing the twists, turns and, of course, some truly miserable dead ends! Teachers have been incredibly impressed by the quality of descriptive language students have used throughout their stories, and we can’t wait to share their adventures with you!
Grade 4 has Talent!
Get crazy for our very own Year 4 band, Thunderous! A huge well done to Imran, Koko, Jetson, Leandro and Luca for performing their wonderful cover of 7 Years for all of Grade 4 at assembly last week. It was ELECTRIC!
A massive shout-out also goes to the talented students who performed in our choir, xylophone and ukulele groups. It was fantastic to see so many students from our cohort confidently getting up and performing in front of their peers. We are incredibly proud of you all!
A big thank you to our Performing Arts teachers and Simone for supporting our students and helping them get show-ready!
Tasty Books!
We had the awesome opportunity to take part in a Book Tasting, hosted by our lovely librarian, Alice. Students sampled snippets from a range of books, exploring different genres and discovering new authors and stories. They recorded the books that caught their attention and added some new titles to their borrowing lists.
It was wonderful to see students so excited about discovering their next great read!
See You Next Term!
As Term 3 draws to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful students and families for another fantastic term. We have seen so much growth and progress across the Year 4 cohort, and we are incredibly proud of all that our students have achieved.
We hope everyone has a fantastic and well-deserved break! We can’t wait to return for our final term together, where we’ll dive into Cooking, Gardening, Swimming and, of course, plenty more fun and learning!
Bring on Term 4!
