Humanities
This term the Year 5s have been learning about business and economics in Humanities! We have learned all about Supply and Demand and Needs and Wants. This week we have created a business to be a part of a town in our classes and on Tuesday we will visit each other's shops and see the creative ideas everyone has come up with. We are also excited to see businesses in practice on our Queen Victoria Market excursion where we will practise spending to a budget and see how real businesses handle supply and demand.
Maths
This week in maths we have been learning about the order of operations. We have practised solving equations in their correct order, creating our own equations and starting with the answer we want to get and using the order of operations to make an equation that will result in our chosen number. We also learned how to play BODMAS connect 4 and practised how to find the rule when looking at a growing pattern.
