First Aid Centre

We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned rest and has a wonderful holiday break.
Student Management Plans
As we approach the end of the school year, a reminder that student medical management plans, including those for anaphylaxis, allergies, asthma, diabetes and epilepsy, should be reviewed and updated annually by your GP and provided to the College as soon as possible.
This is particularly important for students attending school camps, including our upcoming Year 9 camps.
Please contact the First Aid Centre if you require any blank medical management plans for your doctor to complete, or if you would like to discuss any relevant medical information before your child’s camp departure.
Thunderstorm Asthma
With hay fever season well underway, please remember that the First Aid Centre cannot provide antihistamines or other medication that has not been supplied from home and appropriately documented. Please contact the First Aid Centre if you would like to discuss any potential student medication requirements.
Spring can also bring an increase in thunderstorm asthma symptoms and events.
All students who are at risk of asthma are reminded to ensure they carry their reliever medication with them at all times during the school day. This is particularly important at this time of year, when thunderstorm asthma events can be more frequent.
Farewell Year 12
Finally, we ask all departing Year 12 students to collect any student-owned medical supplies from the First Aid Centre before their final day.
We wish all our Year 12 students every success and happiness for the future and congratulate them on reaching this exciting milestone!
