Term 3 Wrap Up
Year 7
The theme for this term was "Right Voice, Right Time". In our classes, we wanted to emphasise the importance of using our "Silent voice", "Partner Voice" and "Class voice" to ensure that our Year 7 Classes continue to be calm and productive.
As Year Level Leaders, it has been awesome to see our Year 7s grow in confidence and really settling to the Wantirna College Community. As we wander through classes, we are impressed with how engaged students are and are really starting to invest and drive their learning. Hopefully, this continues next term as they prepare to take the step into Year 8.

Hi from your Year 7 captains! What a great term we’ve had, here are some of the highlights:
This term has been very busy, with lots of activities. There was year seven basketball and table tennis, who both did very well.
For the students in the music program, they had the Gala Concert performance, where they performed the pieces they have been practicing over the course of the term.

In week 4, we had the Athletics Carnival, where Byrne house came first, followed by Mason, Collier, and Rees house. It was a very competitive day, and the participation was great.

There was also an amazing production. Congratulations to all the year sevens who contributed to the musical. A special shout out to Maddie Earsman and Aster Harrison who had main roles and owned the spotlight.

Wear it Purple Day was filled with fun, activities and a highly anticipated purple duck hunt. This helped us support the LGBTQIA+ youth community, so thank you to everyone who attended and wore a splash or purple.
We celebrated the academic achievements of year seven students at our awards night.
Congratulations to everyone who got nominated for their subjects. We’ve had many activities run during lunchtimes this term, including Mr Bigg’s Weekly Trivia (with lollipop prizes), lunch time clubs (such as Volleyball Club, Creative Club and Badminton Club) and Mini SRCS, such as our successful RUOK Day meeting, where we gathered meaningful information to help us with the school, and included yellow iced donuts.
Finally, we ran our Homegroup competition, where homegroups could rack up points from weekly riddles and an exciting game of dodgeball. After a very close competition, 7S came out on top and will be enjoying their hot chip lunch next term.
Thanks for an amazing term and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
