Gala Concert

The annual Gala Concert was held on Friday 11th of September at Bunjil Place Theatre in Narre Warren. The evening provided students with an exciting opportunity to perform at a world class venue to a full audience, and showcase their hard work.

It was fantastic to see all students perform at a high standard and come together for a wonderful night.

Every performance reflected the time, effort and commitment students have dedicated to developing their skills. From ensembles to individual performances, everyone performed exceptionally well and contributed to making the evening a memorable night. The performances were nothing short of brass-tastic!

As one of the Performing Arts Captains it was particularly rewarding to see the enthusiasm and confidence of every student who got up and performed.

A highlight of the evening was the long service awards, presented by the Parents of Performing Arts to graduating students who participated in the Instrumental Music program for four years or more.  We were also very proud of Danny for receiving a special award by the Australian Society for Music Education, basically for being a great advocate and leader in music education.

I would also like to send a huge thank you to all our Performing Arts teachers for the countless hours they dedicate to rehearsals, teaching and supporting students. Their dedication is truly note-worthy, and we couldn’t have done it without them. They always help us brass through the tough rehearsals and bring out the best in every performer!

Unit 4 VCE Dance Performance Night

Our Unit 4 VCE Dance students recently took to the stage to perform both their Skills-Based Solos and Cohesive Composition Solos in front of friends and family. The evening was about celebrating the culmination of months of creativity and refinement, before students present their solos to an external panel for their Performance Exam next term.

It was wonderful to see each student share their unique personal movement vocabulary and creative growth from throughout the year for one final time as a cohort. We are incredibly proud of their dedication, growth and commitment, and the confidence they demonstrated as they brought their work to the stage.
