Learning Long 'i'

This week in Year One we have been learning about the long 'i' phoneme and the different graphemes we can use to represent it. We have created anchor charts, played games and used whiteboards to consolidate our learning.

At home you could play Eye Spy with long 'i' words, or when you hear a long 'i' word, talk about the spelling pattern with your child.
