Year 4 and so much More

Rustie Incursion
RUSTIE: The Regenerative Upcycling Solar-Powered Trailer with Interactive Education
Last week, some of our Year 4 students were given the opportunity to trial a new incursion, for free provided by Glen Eira Council. This fully solar-powered, interactive recycling hub transforms plastic waste into new, usable products, making the circular economy a hands-on experience for schools, communities, and organisations.
When RUSTIE the Truck came we learned a lot, like how and why we use so many bottle caps, how many bottle caps Australia used a year, why we shouldn't litter and so much more! We did lots of fun activities. We even made little keychains just out of bottle caps. It was super fun, I loved it.

When RUSTIE the Truck came to St Peter's we learnt about recycling. They made so many things out of recycled bottle caps. We got to do four activities. The first activity we did was crushing up bottle caps. In the second activity we made our own keychains out of melted bottle caps. The third thing we did was a quiz about recycling. The last thing we did was sorting bottle caps into four containers.I really liked RUSTIE the Truck. I thought it was fun.
