Welcome Back

We hope the break gave you a chance to rest, recharge, and spend time doing the things you enjoy! This term is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one, with end‑of‑semester assessments approaching, Work Experience placements for many of our senior students, the Central Australia adventure for the Year 11 cohort, and the always‑popular Year 12 Formal on the calendar. There is certainly plenty for us to look forward to!

ANZAC Day Dawn Service

On Saturday April 25th, members of our Year 12 Leadership Team proudly represented our school at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service held at the Ringwood Clocktower. The ceremony offered a meaningful moment to reflect on the bravery and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC), who served in World War I and in the many conflicts that followed.

Gathering before sunrise, our Year 12 student leaders joined the wider community in commemorating the spirit of the original Gallipoli landing. The College Captains laid a wreath on behalf of our college and took part in the quiet, reflective elements of the service that honour those who have served, and those who continue to serve, our nation. Thank you to the students, their families, and the staff who attended and supported the commemorations.

Athletics Carnival

The annual Athletics Carnival was a great success on Tuesday of this week at Proclamation Park in Ringwood. Student attendance was outstanding, with a strong turnout across all year levels, and it was wonderful to see so many students getting involved.

Despite the colder weather, school spirit remained high all day, proving once again that enthusiasm and teamwork can’t be dampened. Student costumes were a highlight once again, adding colour and fun to the carnival atmosphere.

Congratulations to Kalinda for taking out the overall win, and well done to all students and staff who contributed to such an enjoyable day.

Royal Flying Doctor's Service Fundraiser

Today, Friday the 8th of May, the Year 11 Leadership Team organised a fundraiser in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The day featured a free dress day, which saw strong participation from students, along with a busy BBQ run at lunchtime that was well supported by our students. The Year 11 VCE VM class ran a variety of numeracy game stalls during lunchtime, adding to our fundraising efforts for this important cause.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service is a charity proudly supported by the College each year. This fundraiser is particularly meaningful as the Year 11 students travelling on the Central Australia tour at the end of this term will have the opportunity to visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service base in Alice Springs and learn firsthand about the vital work it provides to remote communities.

This is a truly worthwhile cause, and one that reflects the College’s commitment to community service and social responsibility. Thank you to all students and staff who contributed their time and effort to make the day such a success.
