Junior School Principal

Welcome back!

I've enjoyed students telling me about their Easter breaks, and I hope whether you stayed at home or went away that you found it relaxing. It's hard to believe that we are already down three weeks of the term. 

Just a note I will be taking some long service leave from Tuesday 19 May until Monday 1 June.  Zac Parr will be supporting in the Junior School space.

Open Night

Not only did we have the opportunity to open our doors to the wider community, but we also got to showcase the incredible students we have here at Norwood. We’ve received so many lovely anecdotes from families who attended, sharing how helpful and caring our students were throughout the night. The culture of Norwood SC was alive and well and passed onto the next generation.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making the night such a success. A special shout out to Brooke, Toby and Emma for your amazing speeches in the gym. We know you were nervous, but you spoke beautifully and did a wonderful job sharing your stories and highlights of your time at Norwood.

Safe travel to school week

From 18 - 22 May, we’re encouraging all students to walk, ride, or scoot to and from school. Start and end the school day safe when you walk, ride or scoot. It’s a great way to stay healthy, help the environment, and have fun with friends. Remember to use crossings, wear your helmet, and be visible.

Reminders about Bus Travel

A few reminders to make life easier for everyone:

1. Please don't put your bags on seats which stops other students sitting down

2. Please ensure you walk all the way to the back of the bus to allow students to board the bus quicker

3. Please only use the stop buttons when you need to stop 

4. When standing please remove your bags and have them between your legs 

Uniform

It's getting very cold in the mornings so it's important to remember we are in full Winter uniform. Please ensure you are not bringing hoodies to and from school, these will be confiscated if worn on school grounds. If you are having trouble with purchasing winter uniform, please reach out to our Sub School Leaders.
