This term in our library has been a busy time for the Greensborough College Library.
We’ve recently updated our Easy Reads collection to ensure it remains fresh and engaging for our students. Outdated resources have been removed, and the remaining books have been reorganised for a more dynamic display. By facing the books outward and grouping similar titles together, we’ve created an inviting space that encourages browsing and helps students discover new reads. We hope these changes will enhance their library experience!
We recently conducted a survey to gather feedback on several key aspects of the library, including our book collection, furniture, reading interests, and library activities. The results were overwhelmingly positive, with answers being unanimous from both students and teachers. Respondents shared their preferences for specific books and genres, suggested improvements to our seating and study areas, and expressed interest in a variety of future activities. The feedback has been invaluable, and it’s clear that our library is meeting the needs of the community. We are excited to use these insights to continue enhancing the library experience for everyone who visits.
One of the student’s favourite times of the year was recently celebrated, Halloween! Our library has been transformed into a spooky trick or treaters delight, complete with cobwebs, eerie decorations and a special appearance from the Peanuts crew. The feature reads were especially popular with students embracing the spooky season not only in their attire but also in their reading choices. We once again had a student dress up day on the 31st with many students dressing up and earning a treat at the library desk. It’s wonderful to see the excitement on their faces as they participate in the seasonal fun!
As always, I encourage everyone to explore all that the library has to offer—whether it’s for learning, leisure, or a bit of Halloween magic. I look forward to seeing you at the library soon!
