Community Support: Crazy Hair Day Reflection

As a way of showing our support for Hamish Howe, a former student at Essendon North Primary School who is courageously battling brain cancer, we held a crazy hair fundraiser day on Friday 20th February.

Together, we raised an incredible $1,750 in monetary donations - a wonderful community effort! We also acknowledge that many of our staff and families generously contributed directly to the GoFundMe page. The Howe family are deeply appreciative of the support and have asked us to pass on their heartfelt thanks to the ENPS community.

Our donations have been deposited into the family’s GoFundMe account, now referred to as Hamish’s ‘Fun’ account. With Hamish too unwell to continue with treatment, his doctor’s advice was for him to ‘have fun’. All funds raised go towards Hamish being able to spend quality time with family and friends, as well as enjoy a range of fun experiences!

Jess, Hamish’s mum, has kindly shared photos of some of the special experiences Hamish has enjoyed over the past few weeks, made possible through the generous donations.
