School Council: Planning for Better Facilities at ENPS

Are there buildings, facilities and other spaces at ENPS that you think could be improved? Do you have ideas on how to improve these areas for our kids?

Did you know that ENPS is one of only a small number of schools in Victoria that has NOT had major capital works to infrastructure in the past 10 years! We need your help.

This year, as a School Council, we aim to lobby the State Government for a major investment and upgrade to our school facilities. This would have an incredible long term positive impact for ENPS students and the wider community. What we are seeking is up to or in excess of $20 million to refurbish the main administration and classroom building and to demolish the existing Visual and Performing Arts buildings, and replace with a state-of-the-art STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) precinct.

However, to have any traction, we must build a compelling case that describes why our school needs and deserves this investment. We need your help, support and input to have the best chance of achieving this.

ENPS School Council would love to chat to you if you:

  • Have a clear idea of how current ENPS facilities impact on student learning and wellbeing

  • Or, have experience developing master plans (architect or draftsman)

  • Or, love chatting to other parents/guardians to collect their thoughts and ideas

  • Or, have experience writing master work plans or large grant submissions

  • Or, have any connections to local government.

Please contact School Council President ben.suter@education.vic.gov.au if you are interested or can help in any way! This is something we all need to get behind and support.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
