VCE Students Demonstrate Outstanding Commitment and Effort
Over the past fortnight, our VCE students have demonstrated outstanding dedication and resilience as they have engaged in a range of important learning and assessment opportunities. Students undertaking Unit 1 studies completed their examinations, Unit 3 students participated in subject Masterclasses, and all students enrolled in Unit 3 and 4 studies sat the General Achievement Test (GAT).
For our Unit 1 students, examinations provided an invaluable opportunity to rehearse the processes and expectations associated with formal assessment. Developing effective study habits, managing examination conditions, and reflecting on performance are all important skills that contribute to future success. These experiences help students build confidence and establish strong foundations for the years ahead.
Our Unit 3 students also benefited from a series of Masterclasses designed to consolidate their knowledge of Unit 3. These sessions allowed students to revisit key knowledge and skills, clarify areas of uncertainty, and deepen their understanding of course content with all students and teacher in their cohort.
The completion of the General Achievement Test was another significant milestone for our senior students. The GAT is an important Statewide assessment that plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and fairness of VCE assessment processes across Victoria. It provides valuable information that supports the accuracy of students’ study scores and helps maintain the integrity of the VCE system.
We congratulate all of our VCE students on their positive approach, perseverance, and commitment throughout this busy period. Their efforts, together with the support of their teachers and families, continue to position them strongly for success throughout the remainder of the year.
