Pathways & Curriculum Info Expo 2026
Further to Carrie's comments, it was wonderful to see so many families take advantage of the five information sessions offered at Tuesdays Curriculum Night, as well as exploring curriculum displays and having discussions with subject teachers and leader.
It can be difficult for students to make decisions about subjects and VCE pathways. Students in Years 8 - 11 have access to the 2027 Wantirna College Curriculum Handbook. This handbook can be found in ‘School Documentation’ – ‘Curriculum Handbook’ in Compass.
This diagram from the handbook gives a clear flowchart summary of the VCE, VCE-VM, and SBAT programs available in Year 11 &. 12.
Any further questions about VCE programs and other subjects can be answered by transition support and explore mentors at our Pathways and Academic Review Conferences in Week 5.
Pathways & Academic Review Conferences (PARC)
Bookings now open via Compass
Thu 13 August, 8:30am - 4:30pm
These conferences are a three-way 15 min conversation between a student, parents and the Explore & Transition Support Mentors, focussed on student’s engagement, learning progress and achievement.
In Semester 2, conversations will also focus on future pathways and 2027 Course Counselling.
Students in Year 8 - 11 must bring the 2027 Subject Selection Forms they have been preparing in class, for final approval and processing, for the best chance to secure their subject preferences. We look forward to continuing to develop strong partnership between parents/guardians, students and the College.
Communication about these conferences has been posted to Compass this week.
