Group 6

Group 6 has had a fantastic start to the year! This term we have been focusing on building routines and relationships with peers. Everyone has done a beautiful job at learning how to sit next to their peers and play alongside them. We are so proud of the wonderful progress students have made with following the school values, which lead them to earning tickets to make a trip down to the PBS ticket shop! 

A highlight of the term has been our specialist subjects, Including PE, Music, Swimming and Art. Group 6 especially love their swimming lessons where they have the opportunity to move their body in a hydrotherapy pool. It has been great to see students learning how to respectfully move to different spaces around the school as a group! 

This term we have been focusing on our school’s theme ‘What are my interests’, Students have been exploring their likes and dislikes. We have explored this theme through group craft activities and choice activities which supports students’ development in communication. 

A fan favourite in our class has been our letters of the week circles. Students have explored each letter through crafts, books and fine motor activities. I am so proud of how much growth each student has had in their letter recognition understanding.
