Group 23

Supermarket Shopping

During Term 1, our senior students in Group 23 recommenced their supermarket shopping program, which occurs once every week at Brandon Park Shopping Centre. It is during this activity that the goods needed for school lunch orders are purchased. 

Whilst enhancing their practical numeracy, literacy and independence skills, this activity also provides students with the opportunity to accurately follow a shopping list, collect the required items from the shelves, use a supermarket checkout, and interact co-operatively with others.

Our students greatly look forward to this activity each week and take a great deal of pride and satisfaction in completing the important tasks successfully.
