Arts Festival Week

This week, we proudly celebrate our Arts Festival Week, a vibrant showcase of creativity, imagination, and talent within our school community! At both campuses you’ll see colourful visual art displays and dynamic performances, starting last night with our Year 5/6 performances. This evening, we will enjoy the Year 3/4 performances, followed by our Prep – Year 2 performances on Thursday afternoon. As you enjoy the many exhibits and performances across the school, let’s honour the hard work, passion, and creativity of our students!

While we would like to thank all staff at NMPS for their organisation and commitment to the Arts Festival, we would like to send a special shout out to our Performing Arts teachers - Dan, Patrick and Sam - and our Visual Arts teachers - Tess and Mel - who have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to put our Arts Festival together. 

World Teachers’ Day

In the spirit of thanking teachers, this Friday we celebrate World Teachers’ Day. We wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for the incredible contributions teachers make to our community. The Arts Festival is just one example of how our teachers work together to support our students at every opportunity.

To all our dedicated teachers at North Melbourne Primary School, thank you for everything that you do, day in and day out. Thank you for always bringing your best to work and continuing to put our students first.

2026 Prep Transition Program

As shared in our last newsletter, we have started our Prep Transition Program with our 2026 Preps engaging in Story time sessions at our Molesworth Street Campus Library. It has been lovely to see how these students are already starting to settle into NMPS. 

Thank you to our current Prep team for their preparation and participation in these sessions. Our next 2026 Prep event is our Information Night on Wednesday 12th  November, followed by our first Prep transition session on Friday 14th November.

Upcoming Pupil Free Day & Public Holiday

Just a reminder that next Monday 3rd November is a Pupil Free Day followed by the Melbourne Cup Holiday on Tuesday 4th November. I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend!
