A focus upon driving continuous school improvement

Mother’s Day stall

As always, the Mother’s Day stall was very popular. Students love to spoil the special people in their lives with gifts.

You might have been fortunate to receive a handmade cookie (thank you Hannah B - Grade One parent!) with a coffee card, very generously donated by The Blacksmith Belgrave.

The stall couldn’t happen without the following parent helpers; Jess, Laura, Jayne, Hannah, Marion, Dale, Amanda, Jemma and Kerryn. Thank you!

Term Two Upcoming Events

Term Two promises to be an exciting term for our students, with the following events now available for viewing in our Compass Calendar:

  • Special Lunch - Thursday 26th June
  • Paint & Sip (adults only event) - Saturday 28th June. Tickets on sale now via QKR.

Become involved in our Parent Association

Joining the PA is a great way to get involved and make a difference in our school. We have many exciting fundraising opportunities on the horizon and would love to have you on board. Whether you have a lot of time to give or just a little, every bit helps and is greatly appreciated. No experience is needed - just a current Working with Children's Check and a willingness to contribute to our community.

As always, thank you for supporting the Parents Association. If you have any questions or feedback regarding any past or future events, please feel free to contact our Parent Association President (Jess) via email: upweysouthpta@gmail.com

Breakfast Club

We run Breakfast Club to ensure our students can have a healthy and happy start to their school day. All students and families are invited to enjoy some toast, cereal and fruit from 8:30am each Friday morning.

Volunteers wanted! If you are available 8 - 9am Fridays and have a WWCC, we'd love your help. No ongoing commitment expected.

Tasks include:

  • Setting up breakfast area
  • Prepare and serve breakfast
  • Clean up

You can join the group chat via this link https://chat.whatsapp.com/LiTX8f9SknTAhwODFGgug4

We could not run our breakfast club without the ongoing support of Foodbank Victoria.

In Victoria material aid and food relief had commenced in 1930, with the State Relief Committee responding to widespread distress caused by the Great Depression. In 2006, the then Victorian Relief Committee merged with Foodbank to become VicRelief Foodbank. It formally changed its name to Foodbank Victoria in 2011.

QKR - please ensure your child/ren has the correct classroom on your QKR profile. This must be updated by parents yearly.
