Year 10 Photography

Our Year 10 Photography students have had a fantastic start to the semester, exploring a range of cameraless photographic practices, including photograms, cyanotypes and pinhole photography, before moving on to traditional 35mm SLR film cameras.

For their first round of film photographs, students have put their developing skills into practice, independently photographing with manual camera settings, developing their own film negatives and then producing prints from those negatives in the darkroom. Working through this entire process requires considerable care, experimentation and precision and the Year 10s have shown a real aptitude for this traditional photographic process.

The results speak for themselves - students have produced some incredible photographs, demonstrating growing confidence in both the creative and technical processes of analogue photography. They should be very proud of their work!
