Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.

May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.

School Review

We commence our School Review tomorrow. The panel consisting of the School Reviewer, Regional Staff from the Department of Education and our School Council President and Vice-President joining us for the four-day review period. We start with Validation Day, involving the analysis of school data, the reviewing of

school documentation and classroom observations.

Next week, the panel will engage with our staff, our students and a selection of school community to gain a deeper understanding of the school and its processes and practices.

The final day of the School Review will be June 6, where the panel will support the development of the future direction of the school based on the finding and outcomes of the overall review process.

An exciting and important process for our entire school community.

Happy Campers!

The sun is shining and our Year 4 Campers have settled into life by the sea. A safe arrival and a positive afternoon for all and much excitement and anticipation for the boat ride tomorrow.

Significant Women Assembly

What a fabulous turnout of families and friends for our assembly to acknowledge the significant women in our lives. The staff and students were delighted to have so many guests at our assembly and it has certainly demonstrated the support that we receive at special events that we host - stay tuned for the next opportunity to join us.

Enjoy the rest of the week,

Kylie Nissen.
