Hello to our Defence Families!

This term during Defence Group on Wednesdays we have been keeping warm with a hot chocolate, white chocolate or chai latte, and munching on some cookies. It has been great to see the Defence students get together and enjoy a drink and a friendly game of Uno! These social sessions, support students to access school-based social and emotional support, and facilitate opportunities for Defence students to build relationships and connections.

I have started reaching out to Defence students for their Term 3 one-on-one chat. It has been great to hear what the students got up to during their school holidays, and what they are looking forward to this term.

From time to time I email the parents and carers of our Defence students to notify of resources and upcoming events designed for the benefit of our Defence community, so keep a lookout in your inbox for these.

If any families are posting out in the next cycle, could you please let me know so I can create a ‘farewell pack’ for your child.

If you are a Defence family and your child is not currently part of the Defence School Mentor Program, please notify the school so they can be included.
