During Term 2, the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers (AAMT) invited students from across the country to participate int the Big Poster Competition. The students made posters to raise the awareness of the importance of Mathematics in our lives. We are proud to say that year 7 students Sarah Graham and Arlia Kinloch received a “Highly Commended” award by the judges of the Years 7-8 section for their poster ‘Radical Romans'. Congratulations to these talented students!
Those eagle-eyed readers of last term’s newsletter might remember that Ms Carson’s year 12 Numeracy class were using their skills to plan, budget and ultimately revitalise their classroom. Since then, these diligent students have been working hard to leave a positive mark on the school that has been such a big part of their lives up until now. Of course they are also having a great time, as you can see below!
