Master Mind 2025 JANUARY JUMP-START PROGAM
Master Mind Australia is delivering a comprehensive January Jump Start Program for all students entering year 7 to 12 in 2025.
The programs will be held on Christ Church Grammar School and Hale School campuses from Monday 13 January to Saturday 18 January 2025.
Master Mind is offering St Norbert a 20% discount per subject in any program.

Position Vacant – School Cook
St Clare's School, Lathlain is a Catholic CARE school with 35 students. We serve girls in Years 8 to 12, who have not been able to engage successfully in mainstream schools.
We are currently looking to fill the role of part-time cook.
The suitable applicant would be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of the students’ morning tea and lunches accommodating individual dietary requirements.
The role is part time Monday to Friday 9.30am – 1.30pm during school term time.

Curtin's DISCOVER STEM program is returning for the January school holidays, for students entering Year 8-9 in 2025. Places are limited to 60
School Student Broadband Initiative
The Australian Government has launched the School Student Broadband Initiative to provide free home internet for one year for up to 30,000 unconnected Australian families with school aged students.
The program is available to all students without an active nbn connection at home. Registration is open until Dec 2024.
To be eligible, families must have:
- A child living at home that is enrolled in an Australian school
- Not have an active National Broadband Network (nbn®) Internet service at home (Having a mobile internet service does not affect eligibility)
- Live in a home that can access the National Broadband Network via a standard connection (this will be checked for you)

Intersection Closures of Hamilton Street, Sevenoaks Street and Railway Parade
This week METRONET issued a public notice about the proposed intersection closures of Hamilton Street, Sevenoaks Street and Railway Parade between July and December 2024. These disruptions are required for the relocation of waterpipes and then to rebuild the Hamilton Street intersections.
These works will be completed in four stages:
Stage 1 (Monday 8 July to mid-August) and Stage 3 (mid-September to late-October)
- Closure of the Sevenoaks Street southbound lane between Mills Street South and Stockman Way, the northbound lane will change to single lane each direction
- No right turn from Sevenoaks Street onto Hamilton Street, both directions
- Left turn only off Hamilton Street at the intersection with Sevenoaks Street, both directions
Stage 2 (mid-August to mid-September)
- Closure of the Sevenoaks Street southbound lane between Mills Street South and Stockman Way, the northbound lane will change to single lane each direction
- No right turn from Sevenoaks Street onto Hamilton Street, both directions
- Left turn only off Hamilton Street at the intersection with Sevenoaks Street, eastbound
- Railway Parade closed at Hamilton Street. Local traffic access available between Mills Street North and Hamilton Street, and Hamilton Street and Dora Street
- Hamilton street closed between Railway Parade and Sevenoaks Street
Stage 4 (late-October to mid-December)
- Closure of the Sevenoaks Street northbound lane between Mills Street South and Stockman Way, the southbound lane will change to single lane each direction
- No right turn from Sevenoaks Street onto Hamilton Street, both directions
- Left turn only off Hamilton Street at the intersection with Sevenoaks Street, westbound
- Hamilton Street closed between Richards Place and Sevenoaks Street
