Music Department Update

The Music Department at Frankston High School has been bustling with activity recently!

Our Year 7 Training Band is off to a fantastic start, with students fully engaged and enjoying their Wednesday band sessions with the wonderful Mr Peter Sharp. Students are making great progress, keep your eyes and ears peeled for information about the Winter Concert which will be their inaugural performance.

On Friday 10 May we hosted a lunchtime concert in the department featuring outstanding solo performances by VCE Music students Kohane Tojima and Robert Cass, along with a mesmerizing solo by Year 10 student Amity Brumbaugh. The Clarinet and Brass Ensembles also captivated the audience with their exceptional performances. Congratulations to all performers! Thankyou to Mr Braithwaite, Mrs Starr, Mr McAdam, Mr Sharp and Mrs Kinnear for all you hard work with the students.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that the Royal Australian Navy Band will be visiting us on Friday 31 May. All band students will have the opportunity to enjoy a concert by the band and participate in workshops with its members Periods 3-4.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates from the Music Department at Frankston High School!
