Smartsuite

We are delighted that our library has been selected to join the Functional Solutions International Lighthouse Program: a small, exclusive cohort of high performing school libraries that have been hand-selected to work with Functional Solutions(FSI) to further develop their Smartsuite Library Management System. FSI has been particularly impressed with our library webpage, which we created on their system. I was recently interviewed during the FSI Term 2 Professional Development session to showcase what we have developed.

Just a reminder, that parents/carers can now access our library webpage:

Compass > star > FHS Library

It is a one stop shop for all of our library resources: ePlatform (our eBook and Audiobook library), our film database (Clickview and TV4Education), The Age Digital Replica, World Book Online, our English pages, the FHS Work Experience page, and more.

Please note, that this is basic level access, and some resources require student logon to access further.

Fully Booked

Our Frankston High School Book Club, Fully Booked, is held in Room 23 on Tuesday Lunchtimes with Ms Johnson. Everyone is welcome to share their favourite books, films, poetry, comics and more. Book Club members are currently busy reading CBCA nominated books as part of the CBCA Shadow JudgingProgram.

If you would like to participate, please contact Mrs Johnson (Book Club) or the library for details.

WOW Mondays

Our remote library service, Words on Wheels is back on the VCE Campus every Monday during Period 5 and 6 with Ms Hast. You will find copies of VCE texts/study guides for borrowing, help with study skills and referencing or mindfulness activities. Ms Hast is also available in the Library on Monday lunchtimes. You can also make contact through Compass or directly at thast@fhs.vic.edu.au

VCE students are welcome to visit the library (on the 7-10 Campus) at any time for borrowing, research assistance or Chess Club. Contact msnooks@fhs.vic.edu.au for assistance.
